A woman’s thoughtful apology has become quite the story. The Pittsburgh woman, Sharla, and her family had moved into a new apartment building. Soon Sharla becomes self-conscious about all the noise her dog was making. So she posted a Sorry Note onto her apartment door.
Sharla’s pug dog, Charleston Chew, is nearly blind and howls. And the dog howls loudly because of his new surroundings that he is not used to yet. It starts as a whimper but then escalates to a full-blown howl.
The people living in the apartment building could hear the poor lil pug day or night. They were wondering what is going on over there?
Sharla didn’t want everyone in the building to become upset, so she posted an apology note on her door explaining Charleston’s issue. The note explains the dog’s health problems and says I am very sorry for howling.
Her dog was diagnosed as a diabetic and had started to develop cataract in his eyes. Since he has lost his vision, his separation anxiety has gotten bad.
In new surroundings, Charleston is having a tough time navigating his way around. He doesn’t know where the furniture is and has been bumping into walls. He is obviously quite discombobulated. Charleston would find a corner and start howling.
A neighbor of Sharla saw the note and took a picture of it, posted it onto her twitter, and said: “You can howl all you want Charleston.”
Now that’s a warm welcome to the building Charleston.
